Hello, I'm Anna!

I am a Japanese American artist and designer based in Seattle, specializing in murals, branding, and illustration. Through bold, colorful compositions, I invite viewers to see the world with a little more whimsy! My work explores our shared humanity and sense of belonging, often incorporating participatory elements that transform public art into something collectively created. I believe art is a powerful tool for individual empowerment and community engagement, and I aim to inspire joy, healing, and connection.

My practice spans murals, interactive installations, traffic signal box design, live painting, tattoo design, community zines, and branded merchandise, with work featured in local exhibitions.

Beyond my main art practice, I run Happitat, a temporary tattoo & upcycled clothing pop-up celebrating playful self-expression, and am the co-founder of Seattle Rise Collective, an organization hosting markets and events for female and gender-expansive creatives and small businesses.
